Aside from products which are made in, or a product of, a foreign country and which need to be labeled as such, you may be surprised to learn that many U.S. companies are actually owned by Chinese companies.

One of these is Smithfield Foods, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hong Kong-based WH Group Limited. Smithfield Foods owns the Smithfield, Eckrich, Nathan's, Farmer John, Farmer, Armour, Carando, Cook's, Curly's, Gwaltney, Healthy Ones, John Morrell, Kretschmar, Margherita, pure Farmland and Smithfield culinary brands (among other Regional and International Brands, including Cracker Barrel Old Country Store).

So remember, whenever you purchase or patrionize any of the above brands, their profits accrue to a Chinese company. Of course, you may want to consider that the employees of the companies listed above, at least in the majority, work in the U.S.A.

Last I heard (April 7, 2022), about one half of Apple products are assembled in China. Check the label before you buy!

Tesla has apparently been shipping cars they make in China to Europe since about late 2020.

For those of you who are fans of Viking cookware, according to the website of Clipper Corporation, which is "the exclusive licensee for VikingŪ Housewares", on March 11, 2022, the only Viking Cookware products "Handcrafted in the USA" are the VikingŪ 5-Ply Professional and VikingŪ 3-Ply. As best I can tell, the rest are all made in China.
